IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROGRAM FOR STRENGTHENING RELIGIOUS MODERATION IN PAI LEARNING AT SMP NEGERI 2 SUPPA
Abstract
This research aims to determine the concept of strengthening religious moderation in PAI learning at SMP Negeri 2 Suppa, the implementation of a program to strengthen religious moderation in PAI learning, supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the program to strengthen religious moderation in PAI learning at SMP Negeri 2 Suppa. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Thus, data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. The objects of this research were the head of UPT SMP Negeri 2 Suppa, deputy head of curriculum, and students of SMP Negeri 2 Suppa. The research results show; (1) The concept of strengthening religious moderation in PAI learning at SMP Negeri 2 Suppa is a joint effort to build and strengthen religious harmony in the context of a pluralistic society. (2) The implementation of the program to strengthen religious moderation that has been programmed by the school can be implemented in the classroom and outside the classroom using the correct understanding of Islam with the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Islamic style. (3) The supporting factors are the quality of professional PAI teachers, the existence of a program to strengthen religious moderation that has been programmed by the school, the use of a curriculum that supports religious moderation (KMB), a PAI teacher MGMP activity forum, as well as support and solidarity between school elements. And the inhibiting factors are inadequate school facilities, low literacy culture, not yet involving religious figures, limited religious books in schools, the emergence of an understanding that interprets religion excessively and the mass media.
