ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHER'S STRATEGY IN INCREASING INTEREST IN READING AND WRITING THE QURAN IN STUDENTS OF SMPN 1 MATTIROSOMPE PINRANG DISTRICT
Abstract
Interesting learning strategies and increasing interest in reading the Koran are PAI teachers' challenges in improving the quality of Islamic learning. This research aims to determine PAI teachers' strategies in increasing students' interest in reading the Al-Qur'an at UPT SMPN 1 Mattirosompe UPT SMPN 1 Mattirosompe. This type of research is qualitative descriptive field research with a psychological and pedagogical approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation and documentation. The findings in this research indicate that the PAI teacher's strategy in increasing interest in reading the Al-Qur'an among students at UPT SMPN 1 Mattirosompe has been sufficiently implemented, including: 1. The PAI teacher's approach in increasing interest in reading the Al-Qur'an among students at UPT SMPN 1 Mattirosompe is good, because the PAI UPT teacher at SMPN 1 Mattirosompe, Pinrang Regency has taken an individual approach and also implemented learning strategies that motivate students. 2. The PAI teacher's strategy in increasing interest in reading the Al-Qur'an among students at UPT SMPN 1 Mattirosompe is by using the habituation method and the example method. 3. Supporting or inhibiting factors faced by teachers towards students who are not very interested in reading the Koran can be overcome.
